At Ruthies, we believe dignity should never depend on income, housing, or circumstance.
What was once an exclusive private space is being transformed into a free community refuge where anyone can access showers, hygiene support, clean clothing, food assistance, and compassionate care. From individuals who simply need a safe shower to those living with severe disabilities requiring full accommodations, Ruthies is being built to welcome everyone.
We will provide:

Safe spaces for pets, including dog wash stations and kennels
Our mission is simple: no one should be turned away because they are struggling.
With community support, Ruthies will become a place of safety, restoration, and hope for the people of Corpus Christi.

Ruthies
is more than a shower facility — it is a lifeline.
Every day, people in our community go without access to basic hygiene, clean clothing, safe facilities, or even a place where they are treated with dignity. Many are living with disabilities, medical conditions, transportation barriers, or homelessness. Some have pets they refuse to abandon, even when it means being denied services elsewhere.
We are changing that.
Through Free Store Corpus Christi, Ruthies will provide free showers, hygiene care, clothing, food assistance, accessibility accommodations, and compassionate support for anyone in need — with no judgment and no barriers to entry.
But we cannot build this alone.
